Screen Corps is committed to protecting your privacy as a consumer reporting agency governed by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other applicable state and federal laws.
This Privacy Policy covers Screen Corps’ web site and practices for handling personal information provided to Screen Corps by the general public using Screen Corps’ web site. This Policy also covers personal information provided by Screen Corps’ clients, their employees and job applicants in addition to other individuals who have given their written authorization for Screen Corps’ clients to conduct a background investigation on them. Screen Corps will collect, store, and use personally identifiable information only in compliance with applicable law, including the FCRA.
When you browse Screen Corps’ publicly-accessible web site, Screen Corps only collects personally identifiable information from you if you choose to provide it. The type of information you might provide includes contact and identifying information (e.g., name, address, e-mail address, phone and fax numbers, company and other details you may share) if you are interested in contacting us with questions.
Screen Corps only obtains information on an individual consumer upon the request of a user who has a permissible purpose under the FCRA to request consumer reports on that consumer. Under the FCRA, a user for employment purposes must certify to Screen Corps that it has a permissible purpose for the report (such as credit, insurance, or an apartment rental) and has obtained the written consent of the consumer to request information before Screen Corps can supply the requested information.1 The user must submit to reasonable audits by Screen Corps to confirm that it has obtained such consents. Screen Corps customers agree to keep consumers’ information confidential and secure.
Screen Corps does not maintain a database of consumer information.
Screen Corps does not send consumer information outside of the United States or its territories for any purpose other than to deliver a report to an end user. If a user requests information that is maintained outside of the United States, the information is gathered in that country and then transmitted to Screen Corps in the United States where it is treated like any other consumer information.
Screen Corps may only provide information gathered on any consumer to the user authorized by the consumer or permitted by the FCRA or similar state law to receive the information. Screen Corps cannot and does not share, sell or distribute consumer information with or to any third party other than the requesting party thereof. Any consumer, upon proper identification, has the right under the FCRA to request Screen Corps to furnish to the consumer any and all information Screen Corps may have on that consumer. The consumer has the right to dispute the accuracy or completeness of any information contained in the consumer’s file in accordance with the FCRA and applicable state law.
Screen Corps may be required, upon receipt of a court order to release the information in civil litigation, or as otherwise required by law, to disclose information regarding a consumer to law enforcement agencies.

Screen Corps takes a number of additional precautions to protect your data, including but not limited to:
- Access to confidential consumer information is limited within Screen Corps to those who have a need to know the information. Those are the individuals who obtain and transmit information on the consumer or those who are handling a consumer request for information or consumer disputes.
- Access to Screen Corps computer terminals, file cabinets, fax machines, trash bins, desktops, etc. are secure from unauthorized access.
- Screen Corps maintains a secure network to safeguard consumer information from internal and external threat.
- Any backup data is maintained in an encrypted form.
- Screen Corps maintains records on each request for information and identifies each user who requested information on a consumer.
- Employees are prohibited from browsing files or databases without a business justification.
- Destruction of consumer information follows the Federal Trade Commission’s requirements that the information be unreadable upon disposal.
